Auction
Take part in the life-saving work of the American Heart Association by taking part in our silent and live auction experiences!
BASIC AUCTION RULES Guests at the Los Angeles Heart & Stroke Ball are assigned a Bid Number to use for the Silent and Live Auctions. Your Bid Number will be given to you at the registration table.
- All sales are final. Exchanges, transfers or refunds on items purchased will not be honored.
- Please read all restrictions carefully. Please be aware that reservations for trips, hotel accommodations and use of facilities have been arranged by the donor. All items are sold “as is.” The American Heart Association is grateful to our donors, but is unable to endorse any product or service.
- Once the program closes, Auction bid winners can check with our Auction Check-Out tables. Please allow 30 minutes of computer processing time for receipts. All items on the auction will be released to the bidder by 9:15 p.m. You must show a paid receipt to claim your merchandise.
- All items must be paid for at the end of the evening.
- The receipt value of Auction goods and services are good-faith estimates only and are not warranted for tax purposes. Please contact your tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of your purchases and contributions.
SILENT AUCTION - The Silent Auction will be held during cocktail hour. Print your name, bidding number, and bid in the appropriate space on the bidding row. All new bids must be higher than the previous by at least the minimum raise indicated at the top of the bid sheet, in order to be valid.
LIVE AUCTION - The Live Auction will be held after dinner. The winning bidder will be asked to stand at the end of the bidding for an item. An AHA staff member will accept payment and a receipt and the prize.
Please note: The highest bidder is the winner on all Auction packages, and will be responsible for the amount noted.
AUCTIONPAY - AuctionPay is our payment processing solution for this year’s event. When you check in for the event, you’ll be asked for the method of payment you wish to use for items you bid on or to fulfill a donation you pledged through our special appeal or raise your paddle. If you are planning to pay by credit card, your card will be swiped into the AuctionPay system at registration. By providing your credit card at the beginning of the event, you will expedite your check-out process at the end of the night. We are also happy to provide an itemized invoice reflecting your total charges.
METHOD OF PAYMENT - Payment can be made with American Express, Visa, MasterCard, cash or check. Checks should be made payable to the American Heart Association. Package items are subject to change prior to event.
